How can I enter the Games?
The easiest and fastest way to enter is online. Click on any of the Register Now buttons on this website. This has a link to our secure Masters Games online registration system.
You can collect an Information Book in the Nelson Tasman region from Sport Tasman, Nelson City Council and Tasman District Council offices, libraries, sports clubs, sports stores, retail shops/cafes/restaurants or you can contact the Games office and we'll post an information booklet to you.

I want compete in a sport but do not belong to a club. Does this matter?
Absolutely not. Anyone can compete in the Masters Games as long as you fulfill the age criteria a set by each sport.
If I'm part of a team do I still need to register?
Yes, every team member needs to register, pay the registration fee and sports fee. A team and all members of that team can be registered together or individually. People can also be added to a team later on.
How can I register my team?
All teams must have a team captain. The team captain must register the team name and list everyone in the team. Each team member must have a paid registration for the Games. Click here for more information on how to register a team.
What is the difference between the Registration Fee and the Sports Fee?
The Registration fee goes towards the overall organisation of the Games. The Sports Fee goes directly to the club/organisation responsible for running their particular sports tournament. For a breakdown of your registration fee see the chart on the Registration page of this website.
How much is the late fee and when does it take effect?
Standard fee = $65
There is an early discount of $15 if you register by 1 July = $50
There is a late fee of $20 if you register after 6 September = $85
If I enter more than one sport do I have to pay two sports fees?
Yes you must pay a sports fee for each of the sports you enter but only one registration fee.

What's a Supporter registration?
The Supporters package is designed for partners, friends, family and other people who would like to be part of the Games experience but not compete. To enter as a supporter will cost you $40 and entitles you to all the same benefits as a participant except the opportunity to compete for medals.
What's a Team Official/Manager registration?
This is for officials, team managers, umpires etc not actually playing. They often come with a team. You will be entitled to all the same benefits of a Games participant but you will not be playing a sport. You will have the opportunity to receive medals alongside your team.
If I have to pull out, do I get a refund?
Yes, if we receive written notification at the Games office by 5.00pm on 6 September 2017 that you must pull out of the games, you will receive a refund less a $25 administration fee.
Do netball teams have to supply their own umpires?
It's always preferable to supply your own umpire as umpires are hard to come by but it's not compulsory. Netball has a limited number of umpires available and you can elect to pay $250 for an umpire, subject to availability.

Volunteers are always welcome. Please download and complete the Volunteer Application on contact Jane Miles at jane.m@sporttasman.org.nz or 03 923 2317.

Draws cannot be completed until entries have closed and the sports convenors have had time to review the entry information from all the teams/entrants and then schedule the events.
